Premane Oorilo Movie Review
A Simple Love Story Packed With Emotions
Premane Oorilo is a Telugu romantic family drama directed by Manoj Kumar, starring Shreeraam, Ramika Shivu, Thapaswini Poonacha and veteran actor Rangayana Raghu in important roles. The film was released in Telugu theatres on October 2, 2026. It is the Telugu version of the successful Kannada film Premada Oorelli.
The movie presents a village-based love story involving relationships, marriage, family emotions and misunderstandings. Unlike many contemporary romantic films, Premane Oorilo focuses more on family relationships and emotional situations than on action or violence.
Premane Oorilo Story

The story follows Santosh (Shreeraam), who lives in a village and supports his father Naganna (Rangayana Raghu) by working in agriculture. Naganna wants his son to marry a well-educated girl, but things become complicated when two women enter Santosh’s life.
Vasantha (Ramika Shivu) is a village girl who develops feelings for Santosh. Meanwhile, Rukmini (Thapaswini Poonacha) returns from the United States after experiencing a painful breakup. Santosh becomes interested in Rukmini, creating an emotional triangle.
The story then takes an unexpected turn when Naganna asks Santosh to marry another girl. The consequences of this decision lead to marriage, misunderstandings, emotional conflicts and a flashback involving Naganna’s past.
Performances
Shreeraam delivers a decent performance as Santosh. His performance becomes stronger during the emotional scenes in the second half.
Ramika Shivu is one of the highlights of the film. Her transformation from a tomboyish village girl to a more traditional appearance gives her character an interesting variation. Her emotional scenes are handled effectively.
Thapaswini Poonacha performs well in the romantic and emotional portions as Rukmini.
However, Rangayana Raghu stands out with his experienced performance. His father character provides much of the film’s emotional strength, particularly during the serious family scenes.
Direction and Technical Aspects
Director Manoj Kumar chooses a simple village backdrop for the story. The film’s biggest strength is its emotional treatment rather than its plot, which is fairly familiar.
The cinematography beautifully captures the greenery, farms, village houses and rural locations. The songs composed by Sunaad Gowtham and the background score are also among the film’s positives.
The major weakness is the pacing. Some comedy scenes in the first half and romantic scenes in the second half feel unnecessarily extended. The Telugu dubbing also has lip-sync issues in a few places.

Premane Oorilo Movie Rating
The film works mainly because of its performances, music, rural atmosphere and emotional sequences. Published reviews have also highlighted these strengths while pointing out the predictable story and slow pacing.
Final Verdict
Premane Oorilo is a simple village love story that relies more on emotions than on a fresh storyline. While the first half takes some time to establish the characters, the second half offers stronger emotional moments. Rangayana Raghu and Ramika Shivu make a noticeable impact, while the music and cinematography add to the film’s appeal.
The movie may particularly appeal to family audiences and viewers who enjoy clean romantic dramas with emotional family relationships. Those expecting a fast-paced or highly innovative love story may find the film slow and predictable.
Final Rating: ⭐ 2.5/5
